RETURNING OF PETITIONS
Returning of Petitions
RETURNING OF PETITIONS
30 August 1999
Member for Lismore, Thomas George would like to remind people that NSW
Parliament resumes on Tuesday 7 September and outstanding petitions on the
septic tank legislation and gun law reform should be returned to my office. I
anticipate formally tabling the petitions to NSW Parliament during the opening
week of the spring session.
The petition, once presented will be referred to the responsible Minister, being
The Hon Harry Woods, Minister for Local Government and The Hon. Paul Whelan,
Minister for Police for their notice.
The public response has been very favourable and I am pleased with the support
from constituents to date. A large number of petitions have been returned and as
indicated on the form, all petitions need to be returned before 7 September.
If you have any problems in returning the petition, please contact my office on
6621 3624.
