2020 SENIORS WEEK GRANTS PROGRAM OPENED

Thomas George Member for Lismore is calling on local seniors groups to apply for funds in preparation for 2010 Seniors Week Activities.

“The Seniors Week Grants program looks to fund innovative projects that will promote a positive understanding of ageing and encourage an active and health lifestyle,” Mr George said.

2010 Seniors Week will be held 21 – 28 March 2010.

The Grants program provides seed funding for local and community organizations to create activities to celebrate NSW Seniors Week. The program has two funding categories;

1. Up to $500 – applicants may apply for any amount up to $500 and do not need to match the funding provided,
2. Up to $1,000 – applicants may apply for any amount up to $1,000 and this amount must be matched in cash or in-kind.

Applications close 5pm Friday, 18 September 2009 with successful applicants being advised in December 2009.
