FUNDING BOOST FOR ORGANISATIONS HELPING YOUTH

Two local organisations are to receive grants under the Links to Learning Program, Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George said today.

“This program provides funding assistance to community based non-government organisations and local councils to work with at risk young people aged 12 to 24,” Mr George said.

The successful recipients are –

Community Connections North Coast Inc NORTEC Employment & Training Ltd

“Young people, who experience barriers to participating in mainstream education, are supported through group and individual activities that develop their education and life skills, so they may remain in or re-engage with education, training and employment,” Mr George said.
