NSW NATIONALS REGIONAL TOUR HITS NORTH COAST
25 March 2010
NSW Leader of The Nationals Andrew Stoner, Member for Lismore Thomas George and their Nationals colleagues will be visiting Grafton, Ballina & Murwillumbah tomorrow as part of The Nationals North Coast Regional Tour.
Mr Stoner and the Nationals Parliamentary team are currently travelling large sections of the Pacific Highway as part of their regional bus tour, which sees them cover most of the NSW North Coast.
Whilst in Murwillumbah, the Nationals will be meeting with Tweed Council Mayor Warren Polglase and also local beef producers to discuss the problem of cattle ticks in the region.
Local Member for Lismore Thomas George said it was important that The Nationals Parliamentary team come to the North Coast and hear the issues that are facing the community first hand.
“The Nationals Regional Tour is a good way for MPs from across regional NSW to meet with locals and hear their experiences first hand.
“The Nationals are about listening to their local communities and fighting for a fair go for regional NSW and today is about doing just that,” Mr George said.
