EMPLOYEES AS CONTRACTORS LEGISLATION
The planned date of August for the reintroduction of this legislation has been
and gone. It appears that the Carr Labor Government is reconsidering its plans
to have classes of independent contractors reclassified as "employees".
The Minister has indicated that he wishes to consult with the business community
before bringing the legislation back.
